About Riassdisfa
Riassdisfa was founded by landscape architect Sofia Mendes and carpenter João Ferreira, who met while restoring terrace spaces in Porto's historic centre. Their shared vision — that outdoor areas deserve the same design attention as interiors — drives every project we undertake.
Our studio on Rua das Flores sits in the heart of Porto's UNESCO-listed district, surrounded by the tiled façades and narrow balconies that inspire our work. We understand the constraints of heritage buildings, condominium approval processes, and the practical realities of Atlantic weather.
Our Philosophy
We design terraces for living, not just for photographs. That means comfortable seating, adequate shade, proper drainage, and materials that withstand salt air and UV exposure. Portuguese cork, local stone, and sustainably harvested eucalyptus feature prominently in our material palette.
Every client receives a detailed maintenance guide and seasonal care calendar. We maintain relationships with Porto-based installers and gardeners who can support your terrace long after the initial project is complete.
